TelePassport's revolutionary LCR now at the coast

Walvis Bay - The services of TelePassport, Namibia's leading Least Cost Routing (LCR) provider, has been introduced to businesses at the coast. This means that companies here can now optimise savings on their fixed line to cellphone call expenses.

TelePassport's reputable and officially approved Fixed Cellular Least Cost Routing technology enables companies to reduce their monthly fixed line to cellphone call expenses by up to 30%, translating into substantial cumulative savings. This is done by connecting a router with SIM card to a customer's switchboard, allowing local cellular-bound voice calls to be re-routed directly into MTC's cellular network. Essentially, this means converting switchboard-to-mobile calls to mobile-to-mobile calls, resulting in huge savings as mobile-to-mobile calls are much cheaper than switchboard-to-mobile calls.

To make the installation of this technology as hassle-free and efficient possible for its customers, TelePassport has established a joint working agreement with the leading switchboard suppliers, including Bytes Technology, Siemens, Telkom-Ericsson and Telecom Namibia. Its service also carries MTC's stamp of approval.

“As a leader in the LCR arena, TelePassport focuses on transparently maximising all possible savings on corporate telecommunication systems. Cellphone calls are rapidly becoming the single biggest communications expense in Southern Africa and properly routed, this is one of the easiest ways to improve your bottom line with no impact on operating procedures or efficiency. No doubt, our communication solution is a win-win situation that makes perfect business sense,” says TelePassport Managing Director, Phillip Stier.

As part of the service-focused TelePassport LCR solution, customers receive their monthly telephone bill electronically and free of charge, directly from TelePassport, with a detailed listing of savings on every call. Additionally, the TelePassport bill includes a graph for easy reference, which indicates the individual and cumulative savings of calls made during the month. All billing is available online, 24/7 at TelePassport's website, www.telepassport.com.na.

LCR has been standard practice in many parts of the world since the early nineties. In Southern Africa, TelePassport has been the undisputed leader in the International LCR market since 1993, and at the forefront of the Cellular LCR field, which first emerged in South Africa in 1997. In Namibia, TelePassport officially launched as a fully-fledged Namibian entity with majority local shareholding in February this year.

Furthermore, TelePassport is the first Least Cost Routing service provider in Namibia to be endorsed by Team Namibia. Says Phillip Stier: “As a service-driven company it is our credo to maintain the highest level of service delivery. Being accepted as a Team Namibia member not only recognizes this business philosophy, but also gives impetus to our efforts of delivering service beyond expectation. Furthermore, it clearly distinguishes us as a truly and proudly Namibian company, underlining our progressive and market leading approach to business in Namibia.” Stier notes that the services of TelePassport is invaluable for the local telecoms industry as it means Namibia is not left behind when it comes to the latest in communications technology, which is essential to remain competitive in the global village.
