TelePassport in Unison with cost saving solutions
Gobabis - TelePassport attended the 4th Congress of the Association of Regional Councils on the 22nd April 2005 in Gobabis. The Congress discussed, amongst other important issues, the serious overspending on the telecommunications budget.
TelePassport Namibia in association with Unison Communications, offer a total solution that will save vast sums on the annual telecommunications budget spent of the various councils. As high as half of the annual telecommunications costs have been saved in some instances.
To achieve these savings, each employee is allocated a budget together with a personal pin code. All telephone costs generated by the employee, will be booked to the pin code and once the budget has been reached, the employee is not allowed to make any more calls. It will be up to the manager to decide if any additional budget will be allowed to the employee. Various reports are generated automatically for management in order to implement immediate controls to minimize the unauthorized use of the telephones.
In conjunction to the budget control, TelePassport installs Least Cost Routing equipment that will reduce the costs of all cell phone calls by as much as 30%. Approximately half of all calls made within the regions are now made to cellphone numbers. With the TelePassport solution, these costs can be reduced by up to 30%.
The installation of both companies' equipment allows for better after sales service because the support is done by technicians with the skills for the various products.
These solutions are available to the private sector as well and have been installed with great success at financial institutes and other corporates. Even small SME's can benefit by installing these products.
